I am an experienced immigration attorney who has devoted my legal career to helping immigrants and their families. Throughout the decade of practicing law, I have helped hundreds of people from all over the world obtain a legal status in the United States. My practice has focused on representing individuals and their families at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the Department of State, Executive Office of Immigration Review (Immigration Court), as well as at the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA).
I have learned first hand that the US immigration system is in desperate need of reform, and have dedicated myself to supporting comprehensive immigration reform. I am involved in advocacy efforts through the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and pro-bono volunteering opportunities such as providing legal services to refugees at the South Texas Family Residential Facility in Dilley, Texas.
I majored in Spanish at the University of Kansas and spend a semester studying in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. My true love of the language first came from my mother, Sra. Kathy Tarbutton, who taught Spanish at Shawnee Mission Northwest for 35 years. I am proud to offer legal services in Spanish.
